About the Author

C. K. McAdam is a historical fiction author.

In college, she had the opportunity to study literature, history, and creative writing. She holds a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Humanities with an emphasis in Holocaust Studies. The intersection of literature, history, art, and architecture has always inspired and has informed her research and writing.

C. K. has dappled in different genres — from playwriting to screenplay writing to poetry. Historical fiction is her preferred genre in both reading and writing.

Her debut novel No Man’s Land was inspired by her family’s history, her own upbringing, and the history of Cold War East Germany. Her second novel The Seamstress of Auschwitz is inspired by true events and touches on a subject that is dear to her heart. Her most recent release The Poet’s Daughter takes the reader to the Napoleonic Wars and the age of Goethe, the famous German poet, writer, and playwright. It follows the story of Anna who finds herself thrust into his life.

C. K. teaches literature, culture, history, and film (including Holocaust literature and film) at a university in Texas and has written articles and book chapters on the subject.
